Rush hour rainbow

The light was peculiar - almost bronze. I had nothing better to do, so I decided to chase it towards the water. Sunset and rain, I shouldn't have been surprised to find a rainbow.  By the time I'd got down to the waterfront, about twenty metres past those gates in the foreground , it'd pretty much gone.

We're never so much aware of how fast the weather moves than when chasing it for a photo. I don't know how many times there has been some meteorologic event that has me either wishing for a camera or for me to be in a better place to take a piccy.

We had a sunset storm over my house a couple of years back. I so wish I had either been at the beach or up the hills behind us with the camera. I had to settle for a picky of my house and the sunset through the trees.

Great shot of the rainbow. NZ would supply you with some great weather to photograph. Here we get a huge amount of blue sky days...though you wouldn't know it from today's weather ::shivers::

I like the splash of blue up the top too. Thanks for sharing :D

Wow! Loving that red in the first shot.
One thing I've found is that the weather always comes back if you wait long enough.
