Number 8 wire|
From what I hear, No.8 wire is to New Zealanders what duct tape is to Americans.
I.e, believed to be capable of fixing, or at least holding together, anything...possibly even the universe.
'Zactly right there.
It's no good for making sea-urchin costumes though.
Well, crown of thorns sea-urchin perhaps.
[black spiney buggers that eat coral reefs].
have I mentioned that I love the stereotypical kiwi attitude? I mean, what does it say about a country that an outsiders view of them is a sort of manically cheerful McGyver?
Beats whining poms anyway... [yes, I know that's just stereotypes, but there's a grain of truth to them.]
I wasn't aware of the manically cheerful bit, but we do like to think of ourselves as resourceful. There may even be some truth to the steriotype.
Some of us love duct tape too. Embrace the power of "and"!
I don't think that my statement was exclusitory... more and/or or possibly Nand.
The sea urchin did end up with a fair amount of duct tape in it, as I recall.
