Pathology
In other news, I have results back from pathology on my assortment of cysts, and the results are not as good as they could be. Some signs of cancer were found in the large cyst and one of the two smaller ones. It was all very well confined and they got it all out during the surgery so I won't be needing any further treatment. I will however be having a very close watch kept on my remaining ovary by the onco-gyno team at the hospital and any more cysts that occur will be coming out asap.

This all seemed very reasonable yesterday afternoon when my doctor was explaining it all to me, but I did have a minor freakout later that night mostly along the lines of what if I hadn't gone and had this investigated.

That is mixed news indeed. I'm glad everything was contained, and I'm also glad that the doctors will be watching out for you.

With me, it's blood tests that look for markers. Pretty easy to do.
May yours be clean!

It's good to know they got it all, and even better that you got it investigated.

A minor freak out sounds like the appropriate response. I'm so glad you got it checked out, and that they're going to be keeping an eye on you from now on!
