Satisfying the inner hunter gatherer
Yesterday I Bought:

An 'eighties vintage shirt by Virus, at a second hand stall at the Gay and Lesbian Fair in Newtown. $2.00
Virus was an Auckland label which specialized in funky B&W screenprints. It has domes up the front. I used to own a dress by them, the skirt of which had
a blown up halftone photo of some of the more heavily cratered bits of the moon. The shirt will be to be donated to the needy. You know who you are.

A traditional Indonesian black velvet hat. $20.00
It will probably acquire some Bling, and be Worn on cold days.

A published copy of lecture notes for what looks like an undergraduate course in nuclear physics given by Enrico Fermi. $10.00.

In other news, the $2 desk has been stripped and is in the process of being sanded. Sanding will probably take another couple of weeks. Then another month or so to do the oil finish. By the time I'm done, I may be able to afford the computer I want to put on it. If I can stop buying random stuff at fairs and second hand shops........

Have you read the lecture notes yet? I'd be interested in knowing what's in them if they're any good.

Not all of them, not yet. They're quite long. Any aspect in paticular that you'd be interested in?

Not especially. It'd be nice to know what Fermi said about neutrinos, since he first coined the word.
