Shell and Richard got Married

While visiting New Zealand for a year's working holiday, Shell met Richard, they fell in love and announced their engagement and intention to marry, here before Shell's visa ran out. With a six week lead time and a near zero budget, Shell's friends and various adopted Kiwi mums rallied around and organised a simple, beautiful wedding at Rivendell (yes, the location used for the LOTR films), Kaitoke.

After obtaining the bride's assurances that she would not hate me forever if I stuffed up, I agreed to attempt Wedding Photography for the first time ever.

This is the sort of photography of people I enjoy most and do best at - lurk and wait for them to do something interesting, but even the traditional "line all the rellies up against the wall and shoot them" pictures came out acceptably well.

I think the photos are beautiful. #4 and #6 are my favorites. Also, inexpensive wedding at Rivendell > uh, really any other kind of wedding.

Thank you. The cloak the bride is wearing is an official LOTR replica elf-cloak -which was not bought specifically for the wedding. She's a big fan, so yes, perfect location is perfect.
