I like to stir-fry a lot. This vaporises oil which then accumulates on every avaliable surface and polymerises into a greasy plastic coating (often containing deceased insects) on things which don't get cleaned often. It's enough effort to keep the actual useful kitchen stuff clean without adding various home decor items into the mix.
Also, wide angle lens may make kitchens seem larger than actual size.
No cabinets above bench height, no. There's a full height pantry out of shot. It's good, actually. Anything you have to get on a stool to get out won't be used regularly anyway, which for me amounts to anything on the second shelf of an eye-height cabinet. It also makes the room seem bigger and airier.
