With the arrival of the boning, and a rush of blood to the head, I've pressed on with the next project, a reiteration of the purple corset, this time in a green striped hakama silk with a heavy golden cream silk duchess satin lining. It's not turning out as well as the previous one at this point. The previous one ended up a little on the large side, needing to be laced right up, so I've made the seam allowances in this one a little larger all round. Maybe too much larger. I shall finish it and see if it all works out in the end. It may just need time to stretch and move under tension.
