Insane craft

We egg each other on, we really do. Last Saturday, craft day at Joy's.
"I'm going to put self covered buttons on it"
"You could embroider them."
"That'd be cool, I do have some gold thread at home. Is that satin stitch you're doing difficult - I've never done it before."

In other news I have invented Mashed Potatoes of Awesome. Cook enough spuds for about four servings - two large ones or four small ones. Fry an onion. Mash up the cooked spud with some nice yellowy olive oil (nom nom nom), chuck in the onion and a sliced up bocconcino. Stir until the cheese has melted and stuck the potato together. Mmmmmm. I'm sure it would make excellent bubble and squeak too, if there were any left over.

That's a different creature altogether - and I'm not really inclined to wash a pot, a ricer and a sieve just for mashed potato. Also 1:2 butter to spud ratio!

That's why they're so good! I've only had them in a restaurant before, but I want to try making them myself soon.

Pretty!!!!
My standard mashed potato = garlic, onion, salt, a smidge of butter then enough cheese for it to go gloppy. Herbs optional. Drooooool
