This month's WPS topic is street photography, and the results are due Thursday. I haven't had a lot of time, or for that matter brain space for photography recently, with everything that's been going on, but I made the effort (and it was an effort) and took my camera to the supermarket and then home on the bus. I think the results show that I can produce adequate work under pressure, which is useful to know.

In other news the panels for my bike arrived at long last and it now has a shiny new bum. Also when it visits my mechanic Kevin it always comes back running really sweetly. He's a good bloke.

You do such beautiful black and white work. I wish I had a stash of TechnicalPan 4315 and a Nikon F2 to give you so you could do both justice.

You mean I'd have to decide before I pushed the button that I was working in black and white? Challenging!

Yeah, when you load up with TechnicalPan you're shooting B&W. It's very fine grained film too. ISO 45, but if you soak it in hydrogen for a few days you can bring the ISO way up to around 400 by leaching all the water molecules off the surface. (That trick is only necessary if you're doing astrophotography.) It produced really beautiful results that would stand up to a lot of magnification without showing graininess.
