I confess, I edit. I leave stuff out. Often what I leave out is the uglier things my species leaves lying around, but not this time. This burned out wreck is around the coast from Owhiro Bay, about 2 km along the four wheel drive track. I find the wreck and the coast harmonious in their harshness, and even the slumped glass of the windscreen echoes the shape and the green of the waves. I can imagine that car disappearing in not too much time at all, easily becoming rust and sand.
