Socks of awesome

I can do a great many things with a fair degree of competence. Knitting is not one of them. These rather marvellous socks were made for me by the wonderful Sarah M  who is more than competent at knitting. I took one look at the knit-on-the-bias pattern and volunteered to take any pairs that didn't fit her off her hands (Actually, as it happens we have the same sized feet, so that plan would not have worked.)  She counteroffered to make me a pair of my very own for only the cost of the yarn, which is a lovely merino wool - Joseph Banks would approve.

Those are great socks -- it seems a shame to hide them away inside shoes :)

Yay, they fit really well! You should try and take a photo of the crazy heel.

OK, I will. I am seriously in awe of the construction of these things - I just can't work them out.
