Stealing methodology from photoblogger Gabrielle McKone who was one of the speakers at WPS last night. She "shoots from the hip" - not using the viewfinder and taking some 400 frames daily (not difficult, I've done similar counts) . She doesn't do much in the way of potsprocessing, not cropping or straightening her images, although she does take advantage of the colour and brightness adjustments available when converting raw images files. Most of her editing, however is in the selection process. Her results are surprisingly good.

I don't think I'll be making a habit of this though.

One of my friends does a lot of photography in clubs. She doesn't use the viewfinder either, and she does this thing where she jerks the camera backward when she presses the shutter. You get some neat light effects.
