Purple and gold stash reinforcement.

New-to-me stuff from the Fabric-a-brac sale part II (Part I is documented here). I got the 1.6m of gold brocade-y stuff and the purple and gold sari for $15, and a piece of pale mauve organza (not pictured) long enough for a bellydance veil for $4. I never realised how loooong saris were before - 5.5 metres is a lot of wrapping and folding.

The hard bit will be cutting into it. I think I won't just yet.

oooh, I would keep it as a sari. Eep, I need to get a sari if I'm going to go to Marissa's wedding...

I can see you in a nice pale green one, actually. Flatmate Helen went to an Indian wedding earlier this year, but she went with a salwar-kameeze.

So! Pretty!

I have a pale green and gold one that I bought in Singapore, I love it and would like more occasions to wear it:)
