Well, I've been lurking 'round the intrawebs long enough that a spelling/grammar/punctuation flame really just doesn't register any more. Mostly I read through the 70 comments to see how many of the standard arguments came up.
So far I've got
* You can do it all in a darkroom anyway.
* Ansel Adams did it in a darkroom so it's ok.
* My personal favourite - Your camera's software is going to make decisions about white balance et cetera whether you like it or not - you might as well take charge of the process.
* The pretentious artistic argument - Art is not artificially limited to certain processes (it may of course be limited by current technology, but there are smart people working on that all the time), unless the artist so chooses, at which point the process becomes part of the artistic statement. (The you can make art with a computer, or with a hole-in-a-box, or anything in between argument.)

Have I missed any? Also, You gonna add me back?
